Educator and Leadership Programs

Through its centers, programs, initiatives, and systemwide communities of practice, the Department of Educator and Leadership Programs (ELP) works closely with CSU Universities, intersegmental PK-20 partners, state and community agencies to:

  1. Advocate for and support CSU campuses in achieving equity, innovation, and excellence in educator and leader preparation in support of the CSU’s commitment to prepare high-quality teachers, counselors, psychologists, and leaders, and
  2. Promote academic preparation of PK-12 students through educator professional learning, particularly in literacy and quantitative reasoning.

CalStateTEACH, the systemwide online multiple subjects teacher preparation program housed in the ELP Department, serves teacher candidates from every region of the state.
