The Robert Noyce Teacher Scholarship Program This link will take you to an external website in a new tab.seeks to encourage talented science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) majors and professionals to become K-12 mathematics and science teachers.
Through the Noyce undergraduate/credential scholarship program, each Noyce Scholar can receive up to three years of scholarships with stipends of up to $10,000 per year during upper-division and credential study.
Preference is given to STEM majors seeking a single-subject credential in mathematics or science, and the program is targeted to individuals with high academic achievement.
Scholarships of $10,000 for credential study are also available to STEM professionals seeking teaching credentials.
Through the Noyce credential/master’s degree fellowship program candidates receive a fellowship of at least $10,000 as a credential/master’s degree fellowship and a stipend of $10,000 during each of the first four years of teaching.
Every Noyce recipient must fulfill a teaching obligation in a high-need school district. The period of the teaching obligation is typically two to four years and depends on the duration of the fellowship. The CSU campuses’ Noyce Scholarship programs are supported by the National Science Foundation.
